We all
know what physical health is, and we understand how our emotional
health can affect us physically.
In the new Body, Mind, Spirit model of healing, do we really
understand what Spiritual health is?
It
all comes down to one important question – How
well do we, as a spiritual being, relate to everyone and everything?
Do we feel connected or separate?
How strongly does the divine energy of LOVE flow through us and
into all of our relationships? This
is the key to health and happiness as it fills our soul with this
universal energy, the life force, and a sense of power and peace from
within. We have seven key
relationships to look at.
What
is your relationship to the hierarchy of the Universe, All That Is,
The Divine Intelligence, or whatever you choose to call it?
When we feel a strong sense of connection we allow wisdom and
love into our lives. In a
healthy spiritual state, we feel a sense of unity and understand our
oneness. We believe in unlimited possibilities, a divine purpose to
our lives and all of creation. We
belong and we feel safe. When
we don’t feel this connection our neurological system can suffer.
Do
you have a strong personal relationship with God, your higher power,
your guides or angels, or any spiritual teachers that help you
personally? This is how
we receive guidance, intuition or inner knowing, and a sense of
direction for our lives. We
don’t feel alone and helpless. We feel their divine love for us and
we feel supported. Depression
or endocrine imbalances can show up when we don’t develop this
relationship.
How
do you relate to the people closest to you?
Are you able to speak from your authentic voice, your true
feelings, speaking clearly, honestly and from the heart?
And can you truly listen to others and hear their truth, their
feelings? It brings us
joy and inner peace in our lives when we are heard and understood, and
true to ourselves. We
feel honored and respected. When
this is difficult, we may experience throat and respiratory tract or
throat problems.
Most
important is our relationship to ourselves!
How do you feel about your body, your mind, and your soul?
Only when we can embrace and compassionately love ourselves
truly can we extend that same depth of love and compassion to all of
humanity in a healthy, enriching and fulfilling way. What’s
important to your heart and soul?
Honor the feelings that come from deep within.
This is about loving yourself deeply to the core of your being,
your soul, knowing that your true self, and everyone else’s, is what
is really important here. Our heart and circulatory system will
indicate deeper hurts and unresolved issues here, and our immune
system will reflect our sense of power and our ability to defend
ourselves.
How
do you relate to the work you do in the world?
How do you feel about your gifts, talents, and abilities?
Does your work bring joy to your soul and the rewards and
support you need? By
developing trust in ourselves and by following what our soul loves to
do, we gain a sense of inner power and presence. Just like building
strength in our bodies, we can build trust and confidence in our
spirit. When we don’t
feel empowered, our digestive system can be sluggish, irritated or
blocked and/or our muscles can become weak when we don’t feel strong
enough to move forward or put ourselves out there.
How
you relate to nature and the natural cycles of change is also very
important to the health of our spirit.
Are we living in harmony with nature, staying in balance?
When we trust and appreciate the gifts it has to offer us, and
are able to flow with the natural cycles of life, we can easily move
forward to create the vision we have for our future.
We are naturally creative spiritual beings.
Our reproductive organs are the perfect example of this
dynamic. Also our ability
to eliminate old, toxic emotions can result in problems with the
excretory organs.
And
lastly, how about our relationship to our global family?
When we feel connected to all, we happily want to help others.
It brings us a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that we made a
difference in someone’s life. Others
are naturally drawn to reciprocate. We then easily manifest
opportunities and resources for our lives. No one has to be in need
when All support All! We
have abundance! Our
skeletal system fully supports us and protects our most vulnerable
organs such as our head, heart and lungs.
Our bones and joints can experience problems when our spirit is
not feeling supported, protected, and taken care of.
So
how does your Spirit relate to everything and everyone?
By breaking through our resistance’s and fears, and looking
beneath the personality level can we begin to see where and how our
Soul is trying to emerge. By
expanding our awareness and making choices that come from the heart
and soul, every moment of every day, can we heal our spirits and renew
our strength, letting our Soul shine through as the powerful, radiant,
loving and creative being it is!
